Industry of the Ordinary: Fight Nights

I will be participating in Industry of the Ordinary's "Fight nights" ::::::::::

• Industry of the Ordinary present Fight Nights, taking place at the Hyde Park Art Center on 8 May 2010. The art world is rife with petty enmities and personal disagreements. What better way to sort these out once and for all than to offer protagonists (antagonists) the opportunity to settle differences in the ring? Industry of the Ordinary will rent a regulation boxing ring and provide all interested parties with full protective gear. The match-ups will be determined by agreement with both participants for 3 round bouts. All participants will sign waivers, and medical personnel will be standing by. If you are interested in participating, please contact us here. Hear more about Fight Nights on the Bad at Sports podcast here.

come and get it!

At this moment- Unsanctioned Buchanan Art

A bunch of artists and curators went down to Buchanan, Michigan this weekend to put up an art show. There will be more information to come but the first night was interesting. We has some hustles and hollers but the end result was cool. I brought down Greg Stimac (gregstimac.com) and Burtonwood&Holmes ( http://www.burtonwoodandholmes.com). Here is a photograph of us setting up the video projection of "peeling out" from Greg Stimac in a firestation garage.

Recent Activities

After the show we had in Rome, things haven't been as insane as they usually are for me. Which I believe is a good thing considering you need time to grow and understand what you want to do with your passion. When you go go go... when do you have time for new ideas...? I recently helped with Versionfest, IMMODEST PROPOSALS 09, which I believe was a large success. It ran from April 23- May 2. It held such interesting events such as an artist-run art fair, a korean polish bbq, a video sweat lodge..etc etc. The turn out was great and it looked great. learn more about it at http://www.versionfest.org/
